I'm planning on making my chameleon's new cages this summer, and i need to know where to get screen for them. So if you know could you please tell me? =]
You could try Home Depot, Lowe's, Hardware Stores, Tractor Supply. I also know that they make reptile screen for sale from some online supplier (I'll try to find the link)
Try Lowes or Home Depot as mentioned. Look for the small fine mesh type like the usual cages are made with. You could also do a search for reptile screen and maybe come across some suppliers like mentioned above! Good Luck building
the thing is, there is an almost never ending list of screen types and almost all have their positive and negative attributes, so the best screen choice depends on lots of different factors, inside or outside, desired mesh size , uv transmission, type of frame its going into, cham size, feeding technique, cost etc. my personal all around favorite is the super tough pet screen by st. gobain technical fabrics. because of heat, the top screen should usually be aluminum or stainless. aluminum screen can usually be found at home depot , lowes, even fredmeyer, stainless is usually found at a screen or marine specialties place.you probably have more choices online than you do locally. https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-prevent-toe-nails-getting-caught-screen-35862/
