severe MBD in hatchling/juvie cham...

I picked up this little guy at the show... he seemed ok upon first inspection, so I took him home (Sunday). Today I saw the weirdest thing, and can only assume it's severe MBD. He was bending backwards to climb on something and his spine flexed at the pelvic region. By that I mean it bent back like a branch about to break. Is there anything I can do at the moment to tide him over till the vet visit? I have someone looking after the animals while I am gone, so she can administer "first aid" to him until I return. I will be taking him to the vet, but it will be next week b/c of a business trip.
It really freaked me out when I saw this. I wish I had a picture to better illustrate what I am saying, but I didn't have my camera out at the time. It was like taking a folded peice of paper and opening it a bit then bending it back on itself to create a dent...

If i were you i would contact the person who sold the chameleon to you. If he/she is a reliable breeder i would think they would either refund or return, or at least cover vet bills. That is if you just bought your chameleon...
