hmm, odd i thought it was a majority based off the tails? males will have a bit of a longer tail, while females will have shorter tails.

I'm new with keeping chams, so I'm going off what I know from my pygs and what I've read/been told.

I've understood that color bars on the eye, defined ridges along the back, a longer tail, and slimmer appearance are the characteristics of a male.

No bars, smoother ridges, short tail, and "plumper" appearance are the looks of a female.

Females will often have less colors and patterns than the males. So if you just got your pygmy today, give it time and see how it colors up and stuff.

When I first got my pygs, they looked pretty much the same. It took me awhile to figure out which was which, but maybe I had an easier go of it because I had the 2 side by side to compare/contrast.

Tail is the easiest way IMO but generally ROFLs descriptions r good indicators too
