my veiled is about to shed....i can tell because hes getting very dark and greyish. he cut down on the eating to maybe half the daily quantity. is that expected to happen or not?

It's normal for them to do this. Sometimes it means he'll have a difficult shed so maybe do an extra good misting while he sheds.

yes its perfectly normal for him/her to do this. this is sometimes a sign that he/she will have a hard time shedding so i think a little more misting will help.

I need help now!!!!

my veiled chameleon's eye has been puffing up at random moments. i read on the internet that it means they need more humidity so when that happens i mist her and it goes away, the problem is am i just hiding the problem or have i fixed it?:(

He may have something in his eye, try giving him a warm shower, or take regular saline solution and drip it in the eye to help him flush it out.

i got a misting system that sprays every 2 hours for 45 sec straight.....in the past his sheds never took more than a day....sometimes i see him running away from the water when the mister starts spraying.....funny
