Shedding on casque

My veiled chameleon is about 5 months right now and has shed about 4 to maybe 5 times now. He currently has a piece that is stuck on the middle of his casque. It has been there for the past two sheds and it still has not come off? I touched it gently with a wet qtip which I noticed it's still attached at the bottom which I don't want to attempt to remove it at all. Does anyone have any advice or should I just let it be until it falls off?? I keep the terrarium at 80% humidity with our hygrotherm and I have a Exo terra monsoon for the misting. The picture is not the best, but I took it above his head while he is sleeping. He is quite the cranky chameleon when I'm in his space!

Depending on when/how you spray his enclosure, you might concentrate on this section of his head to see if it loosens up.Let us know how it looks when done and we can go from there. Don't pull it off.

My guess is that is a scab from a previous burn. It doesn't look like any shed to me. It looks like the scab is falling off but hasn't quite and is still attached near his head. It also looks healed where it has detatched.. I would just cut it off (in the dry, dead part) close to the head so he doesn't bang it climbing around and pull off the scab before the attached part is completely healed.

I was like what is she talking about. LOL I didn't see the top of his casque I only seen that little bit of shed. Do you think she should put some Neosporin on it?
