Shedding

My 5 month male veiled was shedding and I didn't realise, I started misting and noticed he has skin on his head still which hasn't come off its been about an hour now and he still has it on his casque what should I do?

all i have ever did if my lizards have had problems shedding, is to get the area wet with warm, clean water and some cotton wool or a bit of soft paper towel. do not pull it off or anything like that as it can cause big problems but just getting the area wet will make the shed loose and it should then fall off eventually. hope this helps

Ok I hope so because I can't really get near him especially not his head he always lunges etc I don't want to put him under any stress, thanks for the help!

oh right. well i think the main thing that would concern me is if it is 'constricting' something, like a limb, which can cut off blood circulation. If it is just a small patch, just make sure there is sufficient humidity (i dont know veileds humidity specifically' and it should be fine.

true (veiled does exhibit different shed cycle. Sometimes only their head that shed). Just be patience.

It takes forever for my male veiled to complete a shed.
It is like he never stops.
It use to happen to my friends veiled, but now Igor has it going on.
Showers, high humidity, nothing seems to help him complete a shed faster.
I think vitamin A may help, but Brad R. would know more about it then me.
I just imagine that is how all veileds are becuase I read about it happening all the time.
