Does the shedding happen a lot? If I feed him more that probably means he is going to grow quicker, which means he will shed more frequently? I keep everything misted well and the humidity where it should be....

They shed pretty frequently when growing, each shed coming a little later until they're adults, then it slows down considerably. They don't ever stop, it just gets more infrequent.

my chameleon has shed 4 times in the last 2 months, seems to have grown real fast! i try to keep him dry when he's shedding, seems to make things go a lot faster and smoother.

First off, shed happens. Veileds and Panthers shed almost every 4-5 weeks when they are young. As adults they seem to shed every 2.5-4 months.

what is considered young......I was told when I got mine he was about 15 months old, but he seems so much smaller than my buddies when his was that age and he is hitting a couple big growth spurts now. I can tell in his overall weight and size, and his veil on has gotten a lot bigger

I don't think he is 15 months old. If he is, then wow. To tell you the truth he only looks maybe 6-8 months old. Shedding usually happens fast within two days. Hope this helps
