Shedding

How often does a veiled chameleon shed? Do they shed more often when young? My female Cammy is 8 weeks old. She shed today, it took about two hours.

For the first 3 or 4 months she will probably shed about every 3 weeks.
It starts to become less frequent after that.

Just to add on so you know ahead of time the shedding gets less frequent with age as Brad said but it will also become patchy. Patchy meaning the head will shed, then the tail, then a leg...etc... The area that is shedding should come of fairly quick but the ordeal of the whole body shedding can take awhile when you are dealing with an adult. If the area does not shed quick you may have a problem with humidity, diet, temperatures....etc...
