How do you all go about shipping your reptiles. I went to the "Ship Your Reptiles" and saw the price. $60 plus is pretty high! There is quite a few of you that ships on here and I was just wondering how you all do it without spending that amount of money. Could you please clue me in?

Thanks for the clues.

ive only used ship your reptiles. i dont ship enough to get the discount rate from fed ex or ups myself, i dont know how far your shipping but 60 is pretty normal ive seen it in the 70's with insurance.. remember your payen for overnight delivery

Ship Your Reptiles is, in general, the best price and best method. :) Cheaper shipping prices often are due to discounts for companies that ship large numbers of packages (like us), or possibly because the shipper is cutting corners somewhere and perhaps not going through all the procedures they should.

And as a previous poster mentioned, you are paying for overnight, priority shipping, which is a must for shipping live animals.

$40-60 is a pretty standard price for reptile shipping.

I would *NOT* trust any standard carrier service....overnight fedex/usps maybe, but I think for the price, ShipYourReptiles is very fair

I use Reptiles Express. Will save you a few bucks. Shipping has gotten outrageous. Keep this in mind you guys when you want shipping included with your chameleon.

Well said Chuck! Reptiles Express rules and their rates are the best. Debbie at reptilesexpress is awesome and she has the best customer service possible.

I became an "approved shipper of live reptiles" thru Fedex It takes a little work, but if you fill out the right paper work and you have to send a sample of your shipping boxes to be tested and your packing methods are approved, its very convenient i.e....you don't have to go through a second party and I print my own shipping labels!!! last year when I was shipping out babies, the prices I quoted my customers were comparable to the other guys!!!
