Should be a busy year.

My girl laid 25 eggs last night, her 4th clutch, I believe. I love the modest clutch sizes - you'd almost not even know she had eggs in her.

At first, I was kinda hoping for more eggs. Especially since I had such a great demand for the babies this year. But then , I thought about it... I have one of my male's daughters grown up. She's much bigger than her mother, ans should be ready to bred in a month, maybe less. Then I have a large, pretty female from another bloodline... she's about ready to breed. I think I'll have plenty of little crawlers this winter!

I need to get rid of my last 2 females before they decide to develop eggs!

Add to that, my deremenis should lay eggs in May or June, which should hatch in October, about the time my wife is due to give birth...

Yeah, busy year...

Congratulations on your good luck. I like how you thought of giving your female a break since you had other options. In the snake business, it seems it's all about pumping the females with as much eggs as possible. The cham family seems more into the health of the animals then the potential profit.

She's had it easy. I believe this is her largest clutch. I may be wrong, I cannot remember her first. I know she's not laid over 30 eggs.

And, it's been over a year since her last clutch. She's been a good lizard - I try to keep them around for a long time.
