Should i trim these plants down

Just got my chameleon in its new enclosure and the first thing she does is climb to the very top of the plant lmao I’m wondering if I should cut the top off to avoid burns.

My opinion no. But if the palm tree dies, I would opt for Pothos.

It really looks fabulous, but I'm always afraid the plants will get too hot up there..

I would say to raise the lights a few inches above the screen. Little ones like to walk upside down along the top, which places them at high risk for burns. I just use small wire baskets from the dollar store to raise my lights.

Babies and juveniles will screen climb so the plants aren't the issue but the basking light sitting directly on the screen is a problem. Use something to either hang it above the cage or set it on something metal to lift it up and possibly angle it.

I trim mine but only because they burn being that close to the light. What a little darling you have!
