I been trying to get a green boa, but my wife doesn’t let me. She barely lets me keep the 2 I have right now.
I had a Ball python, and as soon as she bit me once (Defensive bite), she made a big deal and made me get rid of it.

All of these are so cool. I love the green tree boa/pythons. I know the boas have a nasty reputation, are the pythons the same?
Pretty much. Most arboreal snakes behave almost the same.
I have seen though (Youtube) that green pythons are easier to gain their trust.

Interesting, why is that? I've heard their ridiculous teeth are meant for grabbing and holding onto birds.
I've read that's probably why, because they mostly eat birds, and don't like to pass on the opportunity. It's more of a predatory aggression than defensive.
Oh, Most Youtubers I like to watch have handleable Green pythons. The ones that have Green Tree Boas hardly ever handle theirs. It's not accurate, just based on my observations.

The teeth on them are unreal.

My GTP has never bitten or even tried to bite me. I think the reputation comes from wild caught or 'farmed' imports that get shoved in a bag and shipped across the world. The captive bred ones I've seen are fairly placid although all animals have different personalities.

I dont believe GTPs really eat birds, they normally hang close to the ground and eat rodents. I can't speak for the boas.
