So this is for all you breeders out there....I love watching the weekly episodes of Snake Bytes on You Tube. What I love about the show, is the viewers get an inside looks at a breeding facility week in and week out. So here's my challenge to all you breeders out there big and small....Post some pictures of breeding facilities. I want to see places like, LLLReptile, FLChams, Kamaflage Kreations, Tiki Tiki Reptile, Chamalot Chameleons, Canvas Chameleons,The Panther Company, Komeleons, ect...I want to see project breeders too. SOOOOOOO...Show us what you look like!

Well ours is not complete quite yet but here is a sneak peak

Why does dez's setup make me feel like my owner just put my nose in it and yelled 'bad dog'.You florida people have it made. I can only use may - september. Jealous. Jealous. Jealous.

You should be inspired. And just think, this is what will happen if you let you chameleon addiction get out of control.. :)

This goes out to dez. Tomorrow i will post my setups, as they run from outside, to bedrooms, to loft, to living room, to laundry room. Please revisit, and critique. I need acess to my servers. To lazy to get out of bed, especially with two dogs laying on me.

Dez....I've been following your thread for a while. Your Cham House is absolutely amazing!!!

I also never mis an episode of Snakebytes tv, i wish Brian would go to some
of this breeders and make an episode just about chameleons!

I would especially like to see the kammers, i just love the panthers that they have!!:D

In South Africa we don't have anything rear as big as these breeders:(

is that any kind of special roof? and if yes what is the name? THANKS!!

Its transparent reinforced tarp. Its for greenhouses.. it said uv protected but quite a lot of uv still passes through it. More uv then a 5.0 bulb. It seems pretty strong but time will tell how often it needs to be replaced. I think eight 10x10 tarps cost me $150 to $200. I don't remember.

I also did a lot of research on water hoses. Most all garden hoses contain lead and other bad stuff that leach into the water. Right now the chams are being watered every 6 hours automatically by a sprinkler timer and runs for 15 minutes at a time.

We are on a well and the water goes through 3 different filters before ot reaches the house. We drink this same water. I have "drinking water safe" hose to run from the outside faucet. And then up to a flat soaker hose strung above the cages. When I researched the flat soaker hose was the only one not to leach lead or other things

We do have a mistking and debating to use that it not. Right now I like the rain effect .

The whole project is not done yet but on do have progress photos on my blog if you want to see start to present. We been working on this for over a year. Building when we had time. I will be very happy when its complete .

Dez, I also watch your blog in this- it is truly a wonderful set up - I too, can go on the jealous list :p I love to see how this grew, and how you built it - your pics were great , and I can not wait to see when you have it all done- but it sure looks great now !!! :) GREAT JOB !!

joke all you want, but it works

2 of 2. keep in mind these cages are for breeding only. I will not exploit my personal pets by posting their pics. that being said, obviously some will have issues with these cages. however, they are for breeding, not pleasure. I need to clean repeatedly and easily. business is business. that being said, they ALL get the utmost attention.

Didn't mean to come off like a jerk about posting pics of personal pets. I was speaking of mixing pics between breeding and keeping. I am under the impression this thread is for breeding. I have no problems with posting pet pics, just didn't want to make people think my elaborate setups were used for breeding. These need to be minimal but effective for cham to thrive, but allowing for easy cleanup, breeding, rotating, etc.. As you may be able to see in pics, in the 36" cages there are average of 3 babies. The 48" outdoor cages are limited use right now. For the first time in 25 years here, there have been a bunch of break ins (homes on either side of me, have been robbed. So until solved.....) anyway i didn't want to come off pretentious. Thanx, sorry if i offended anyone.

To add to dez watering solution. I moved them to take pics, but i run all my water thru drinking water certified 1/2" pvc. It is super cheap, even with elbows and t's. I don't use any of the blue glue, and i don't have any leaks. It also, makes the repti-foggers work awesome (split each fogger into two outputs, one for each cage). Big advocate of spray (misting) bottles. On a side note, i like to use 1/4" wire mesh to make second barrier over cages at night. Keep out unwanted critters.
