Hello! I have a Savannah Monitor Named Leonard. He's been to the vet a lot due to an abscess that originated from his mouth. He was a rescue, and I obtained him in October. He's full grown, and weighs 8.8 lbs :| Leonard is currently on 3 antibiotics. I'm suppose to flush this abscess twice a day. Well, here's the deal. Everytime after I flush it, he coughs and gags and gasps. Seriously, it sounds like he's drowning. I've talked to the vet about this, and he says it's because it's by his sinus. SERIOUSLY? Am I causing him to aspirate?? Because that's what he sounds like. I'm scared. I've told the vet that too. Anyone have any suggestions???
