PLEASE HELP!!
4 1/2 year old Male Veiled Chameleon
Specs of his enclosure and lighting:
Black screened enclosure, measuring 24"w x 30"t x 6''d with newspaper at the bottom
Lighting: Exoterra SunGlo Daylight 60w bulb and Exoterra 60w infrared Heat Glo bulb
Plants: A real ficus, a fake vine and black climbing aparatus, and a nice big piece of driftwood about 30"tall
Diet: Crickets from local Herp Store
I have been taking care of my brother's cham, Stan, and he was having a bit of dehydration, I solved that problem and he was looking really good. Last night he started laying on his side at the bottom of his enclosure, his coloring is still bright green but has gone a little white around the edges, eyes closed, not much of a response anymore, this morning I got him to open his eyes and misted him, he moved his arms and tail a bit. He hasn't been eating as much, but I thought it was just the winter thing, sometimes he goes a few days without eating crickets. It's probably been three days since he ate and hasn't pooped for that long as well. Is it too late for a vet visit, he looks half dead now or worse? Thanks for any help and your time.
