Hi guys!
I was just approved for this forum and I am so thankful. Long story short, I brought home my first chameleon yesterday that I got off of a herpetology page on Facebook. It was an amazing deal and I just couldn't pass it up. I've owned other reptiles before but have always wanted a chameleon so I jumped at the chance. This is what I know about him:
"4 months old"
male
Partially mesh enclosure (I plan to upgrade ASAP and have ordered a different enclosure)
Here's the problem... He is sick, extremely sick. When I showed up to the lady's house I was surprised to see him on her shirt (he is very small). I have no idea how long he'd been out of his enclosure but she had cleaned it out for me and put all her supplies inside. He was SO cold so I immediately turned the heat on in my car for the ride home. I quickly noticed he can't stand up or grip things very well. After some research I've concluded he has some pretty severe MBD. He also will not eat or drink for me (crickets or meal worms both in calcium powder or vegetables and yes I have a dripper and have his enclosure set up as I've watched a lot of videos and done my research).
Question: What can I possibly do for him?/ Is there any hope? I'll post some pics of him but I believe he's in pretty bad shape. I'm glad I took him yesterday because the people who had him had no idea what they were doing.
