Signs in laying-ready females?

Hi,

I have a three month old baby veiled (or so they told me), and I was wondering what are the signs that she is going to lay eggs? What's the earliest that I should set up the laying bin?

Thanks!
 
I am curious because today she has been climbing to the bottom of her cage (pictures as shown). I know she has plenty of water and food.

Here is a picture where you can kind of see her size:
I measured her (with tail) and she is about 9" long.

I've parsed this info from different sources and likely confused aspects during the endeavor. Hopefully someone will chime in to correct my mistakes and edify us all

First, she'll sport her "Mopar, I need a hemi' receptive colors which seem to be blue/turquoise and yellow/gold patterns and may display these 3-4 weeks. Then she may change into her grumpy gravid dress which, from the pics I've seen, is very dark/black though this may only be in the presence of a male to tell him, "back off, buddy ... you're too late." Of course, local conditions could lengthen, and possibly, shorten the process.

Chamille, once I realized she wasn't 'Cham', got her bin straight away, an ~ 7.5 gallon pot. I hadn't found enough about the process to have any sort of timetable, but 'too early' doesn't really exist and gives her a chance to accept it as part of the scenery by the time the digging starts. She first showed her receptive colors at the beginning of November and would follow me about from the inside of her cage. I started opening the cage and placing my hand in front of her and she'd march up my arm to my shoulders. One mid-December day, I go into her room to check on her and she's perched on the far side of her laying bin and upon spying me, steps down into the bin, marches across to the near side, and promptly starts digging in front of me and not in either of the holes I had started for her. Oooookay, guess I'll just back out and leave you to it. She spent the night in the hole she finally dug on the far side of the bin and continued to scratch around once she'd filled up her hole. I'm guessing she did this to not leave an obvious, telltale patch of disturbed earth.
 
She doesn't look gravid at all to me! But having a laying bin available at all times is definitely the way to go. Here are some of my girl Dilly's colors...Gravid spotting, see the yellows and blue?

Her full name is Diliyo, which is the Cherokee word for socks since she has just enough translucent genes to have one white sock on each foot.
I have 2 very spoiled veileds, Dilly Bean and Little Foot. And 2 very little giant day geckos, Forrest Stump and Jenny.
I want panthers in the worst kind of way. Dilly's eggs are looking fertile, though so I think my hands will be full around April!
Is Frances your only scale baby?

That's is fantastic !!. no she is not we also have 2 beardies and a leapard gecko , and Septiceye I keep telling everyone is a blue bar and he is actually a true blue nosy be . @Matt Vanilla Gorilla baby's he's been fantastic about holding him for us . We are so very excited .

But she is or first chamealon but absolutely will not be our last . We are very likely to get one of @Matt Vanilla Gorilla spring baby's . There so beautiful.

@Matt Vanilla Gorilla will definitely be hearing from me eventually. His babies are stunners. First I have to populate the vivs, see if Dilly bean's eggs hatch, upgrade the cham's cages, rescreen the current cages, etc. The list is never-ending but I will have my panther someday!

That's so exciting , I could never do a Pairing I would keep all the baby's there's no question . When u are ready defiantly talk with @Matt Vanilla Gorilla hes also an amazing man . He loves all his baby's and take pride in them it's not about the money I truly believe that .

It was actually an accident, they free ranged together and never seemed to pay each other any mind but apparently they were being sneaky. I am going to have to force myself to part with the babies! I have 40 eggs that haven't sunken or molded out of a 55 egg clutch right now and she's working on a retained clutch. If the eggs hatch, I don't know how I'll part with those tiny little babies with tiny little grabby feets!

Omg I would already be in love . The little grabby feet are so cut and I hen there getting ready for bed and then curl there tail up . There so amazing .
