Silkworm eating

Last week I bought a silkworm pod. The chow from the top broke and fell on the worms. There were no casualties but I did have to move them to my cricket cage (no crickets inside). So I scooped out all of the chow and the plastic thing and put it in the cage with the worms. My issue is I am running out of chow and I don't get paid until tomorrow so I won't be getting any for a few days. So my question is how long can they go without food and would they be ok if I fed them a little more sparingly. I didn't realize how much they eat and I thought they would be fed off faster because the order was 30 medi worms but most of them are about the size of my pinky finger. I have only been giving 2 maybe 3 every other day so it leaves lots of eating for the rest to do. I have read they to last a little while on grated carrots. I cannot find any mulberry trees around to snag some leaves and I do not know of any pet shops around me (Manchester NH) that carry silkies or their food. If anyone from NH that knows a place please let me know I would much rather go to a store than order.

I didnt see any at home depot or lowes and most nurseries around here are closed since its fall and is getting pretty cold here.

I saw someone selling them on the forums. Im sure they will be fine for a couple of days. I think they will nibble on carrots but im not 100% sure. Check your local preschools or kindergarten classes there is usually one right outside the door of there classes.
