Silkworm Pref

today when i was feeding my chams i notices that when my panther was eating silkworms out of the container he ate the all the zebras first, so i got a normal silkworm and a zebra and held them in front of him, he took the zebra first, then i tried the same thing with my veiled 2x and he chose the zebras too, i just thought this was interesting and wanted to share it with you guys

Oh nice! Did you switch hands as a control? Like one time hold the zebra in your right, the next in your left?

I can put a silkworm and a superworm in my chams food dish and they take the superworn first everytime.

yup i switched hands and i made the zebra farther away than the normal and they still got the zebra

That's nuts! Wow, I'll definitely have to let people know about that fact, very interesting I may have to try it myself. Try doing a female zebra (which is striped) one time and then do a male zebra the next time, since males look just like regular silkworms. See if that makes a difference, I'd be really interested to know!

today i tested male and female, and they both chose the female, i think the stripes are more appealing to chams
