silkworms arrived

well after a little time waiting and a trip to the post office, i finally received my silkworms. i got the pods from mulberry farms with 20-50 worms and food inside the pods. i just wanted to try them out first to make sure that he likes them and he does. i think im going to order some food and purchase a container to house them in so that i can try to breed them. anyways lil jon loves him. he already had his daily amount of crickets, but i thought a few worms wouldnt matter much. he was slow with the first one, just watching it for a little while, but the second and third ones didnt have a chance. he jumped on those right as i put them down. i think i may make these a major part of his diet. they range from half inch to an inch, how many should i feed him a day? he is a 6 month old veiled. anyways thanks for the help. here are some pictures of the worms. they are strange looking and kind of hard to get of the little black fence like things.

Yes dust them, think of them as a cricket replacement

just a note - turn the container over so the frass (poop) falls to the bottom (lid) and away from their food. Then you just open the lid and let the frass fall out.

Be sure to place it so there is ventilation, though. You can put it right on top of your cham's or other herp cage just not too close too a light source (However, if you want them to grow faster you can place them in a warmer area and slower in a cooler area)
