Silkworms

Is it ok to feed veileds silkworms? Are they bad for them and should only be fed as a treat?

Silks are really good for them.

Silkworms are a semi-staple feeder. They're very nutritious, but have no chitin in them, so you have to feed crickets, dubia, or other exo-skeletoned insects to your veileds as well

thanks for the reply, yeh his staple diet is crickets, but i thought i would get them for a treat, c how he likes them
