I am within a couple weeks of bringing home a 6 month old Male Panther Ambilobe chameleon.
I plan to mostly feed crickets, but will probably throww in some variety in the form of other acceptable insects listed on this forum.
I am not sure HOW MANY crickets to feed every day. I will try to use a cup, rather than free-range the crickets (free-ranging gives my sweety the willies).
I have bought four products for supliments.
(1) Miner-All, Outdoor, Calcium/Mineral suppliment (no D-3)
(2) Rep-cal, Calcium (No D-3, and No Phosphorous)
(3) Miner-All, Indoor, Calcium/Mineral suppliment (with D-3)
(4) Rep-cal, Herptivite (with Beta Carotine)
I have all of this in another post, but it was not in the Food & feeding section.
I understand that the D-3 calcium(3) should be given on a less frequent basis. It seems like just once a week(3) is good enough.
It also seems like he should get some kind of D-3 free calcium every day((1) or (2)?). Which is best, or are they the same?
I guess the vitamins(4) are a once a week thing too, maybe in combo with the D-3 calcium(3). Maybe these could be on different days, like (4) on Saturdays and (3) on Sundays.
Would he get these suppliments with every meal, or is just once a day enough? I imagine TOO much could be a bad thing !!
Instead of writing out the whole product name, i just put in the number to signify the product. Instead of saying, "should I give him Miner-All, Outdoor, Calcium/Mineral suppliment, (no D-3)?", it would be "should I give him (1)"
