Sitting on the sun porch

This past weekend we had lot of sun, so my sun porch was pretty hot. I took Clyde out there and put him in a dragon tree by the window. I misted the leaves of the plant with a spray bottle and he drank right from the leaves. He seemed to really enjoy the environment. My question is, how much sun exposure is necessary in order for him to obtain his Vitamin D requirements? I want to make sure the sun is not too weak, or too strong for him to handle. He was out there almost two hours in sun that was relatively weak.

Here's some pics from Clyde on the sun porch:

I think that when you take him out to take natural sun light it has to somewhere where the sun it's unfiltered. Don't hold me on that though I'm still learning and don't own any chams.

You want to have him in direct sunlight. No uv rays come through the glass. What I do is take my dragon plant out side and put it on a picnic table and do my home work while jasper hangs out on the plant

Thanks to both of you. When it starts to get hotter out, I'll bring him outside so he can get more direct sunlight. I'll take him outside occasionally now, but only for a few minutes at a time. It's good to know he isn't able to get the nutrients he needs through a glass window. I appreciate the feedback!
