Skin disease? Help!

I took my first vacation with having a Sid for two years and let a friend take care of him and things went south. After seeing pictures I thought he was just going into shed but this is completely different. Any thoughts?

that sort of looks like a thermal burn, in which case you will need silvadine ( sp?) which is a burn cream from a vet.

Agreed, appears to be a burn. Check your basking temps.

I agree with the two posts above me, it looks to be a burn. How close to the heat source is his perch?
