Hey all, this is my male Ambilobe.

I purchased him from Bruce Galbraith at Chameleon Paradise (a site sponsor). His daddy was the epic Candy Cane. One beautiful cham.

He flares up a LOT brighter, his green turns yellow! The blue bars are just coming in so I can't wait to see him when he really colors in. His red is on FIRE and it's not even full in on his stomach (shows when he flares).

Yeah I sent you a private message about that lol :D

I think your guy is a bit older then mine, we have to compare a few months from now see the differences!

nice cham candy cane is a sharp looking cham, I was considering picking up one but other stuff came up.

He's about 4 months, some of his brothers definitely got their color first, but this guy is HOT!

It's a total neon yellow when he flares up. I'm honestly just waiting for his red and blue to really come in! I'll post more pics eventually

This is Skittles first and current enclosure, I was advised that to much vegetation could affect how much he was eating. The crickets hiding and him not old enough to really hunt. In reality he's a great hunter, knows when I put the food in thats for sure. He'll take them off my hand or chase them in his cage.

He LOVES little hornworms, he doesn't even shoot at them anymore. He did the first one, but now he just charges and bites them!

I'm pretty excited to get him a plant in time, but for now I think he's very comfortable in this set-up. He seems to enjoy it, and as nervous as he gets at first he LOVES going on the hibiscus outside.

Can anyone give me some information on how I should give this guy a shower? I don't have a removable shower head so the mist feature is off. He has nice white pee, and nice big poops. I just don't see him drink and I feel like a little warm shower would be good for him, I may be wrong any advice?

He's really looking good. I like his pale coloring.

I wouldn't worry about giving him a shower unless he gets dehydrated. Just give him several mistings a day a provide a dripper for him.

Good to hear from an experienced keeper, thanks Jann. He's got nice bulgy eyes and good poo, kills crickets like a monster and loves worms.

I'll post more shots for sure soon, He's starting to show the blue in those red bars a lot! You know who he's reminding me of is a Candy baby named Flloyd somewhere on here, don't remember the owners name. But I saw both his baby pictures and adult and I think thats kind of what I'm going to have right there.

It's all a surprise :D

I'm pretty sure that he's got blue bars, we went outside for the longest we have yet. I chilled with him outside for about an hour. Sitting on my neighbors hibiscus that I moved next to my chair ;) He showed AWESOME blues outside, but inside they're still just lines coming in.

His green stays pretty dark until about 11 A.M. , he basks and gets dark, his bars very black looking and his green was very dark green. But after that he's moving around the cage with nice light greens. I really can't wait for the red on his stomach to show up! I've been seeing it but it's still coming

He is a beautiful chameleon.

His cage is very bare. I would get him more cover in there so he feels more comfortable. He needs leaves so that he can hide and drink water off of them. I would get him a nice live plant.

Thank you guys, I got super lucky with this one. He is a STUNNER. I'm very excited to watch him grow and get colors myself :D

The only reason the cage is bare it Because it was the advice given to me, I didn't want to have crickets be able to hide all in the plants. There it actually a small hide away behind the driftwood. He usually doesn't get to scared but the day we brought my friends dog over he chilled back there and kept an eye on us.

Hasn't done it since, but I'll probably be getting him an umbrella plant shortly

I took Skittles outside today, I like to make sure he gets some real sun light. Plus he looks so pretty when he's outside! :D 8/9/12 5 months old

He DOES NOT like my iPhone, I have it in a big black case and as you can see....Skittles is not a fan. 8/9/12 5 months old

I proceeded to take him inside to try and offer him a snack, a small silkworm. Although, Skittles has never ventured 20 feet to other side of my apartment where I keep the bugs. Needless to say he was very skeptical of the whole thing, even after he got his worm lol! 8/9/12 5 months old

Yeah you probably got the best one of that clutch. He's looking really hot for four months. Oh and you were saying that the reason you bought a candy cane baby was becuase he had a lot of white in him, well I think yours might get a lot of white on his neck also. I just compared it to a picture of Splash's neck at 4 months and it looks really similar. Here's the picture. Take a look.
