Sleeping during day and not eating

Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?6 times since i got him

Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?he mostly wanna eat cricks in the begining it was about 8-9 now he eat nothing not even if i give another bug and i feed him normaly around 9-10 AM GUTLOAD is repashy superloads

Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?exo terra calcium 5 times a week and repashy calcium plus 1 time a week

Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?i use a mist king the first mist is at 8 AM 1 hour after the light turn on and last 2 min the second is at 12:30 PM and last 2 min and the last is at 5 PM last 2 min i have a bottle that drip water on a leafe i saw him drink in the beggining but not in the last week

Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?dint test him since i got him but the last fecal i saw was really dry and i never saw him poop again since a week

Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?floor 80F /basking85-88F lowest temp for night is 70F i check them using the zilla digital thermo hygrometer

Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?40% to 70%
i use an humidifier that always run and i put plastif on screen depending the day i measure that using zilla digital thermo hygrometer

Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?i use a fake golden potos and a real potos

Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor? its located in my room and when i get in its night for him and i never open the lights and the cage is 31'' from the floor

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.since 1 week in the beginning he started to close one eye and not really give attention to the food and i was thinking maybe it was dehydrated so i started to mist for 5 to 10 min 1 to 2 a day to try to get him better and then i saw he started to close both eyes under misting and keep them shut and now he still sleep most of the time whit the light on i took him to the vet today and he checked evrything and said he was looking good dont look dehydrated skin look fine nothing stuck or obstuing and no bone problem no eye problem and he weight about 2 gram he only told me to try to make him eat and he should get better but with all what i read in forums and evrything i dont think its only that little thing that make him sleep during day and not looking good

I don't know much about the arcadia lights, but I know other people use them. Not sure about that particular one and not sure if that could be causing your chameleon to close his eyes. Does he close his eyes when he is out of the cage, or just in the cage while under the light? A fecal would be a great idea to have done to check for possible parasites, but I know if he is not eating, he is probably not pooping. There is nothing in your set up that jumps out at me. It is possible he had an underlying illness(like parasites) when you got him and it is now coming full circle. I wish I could be of more help, but parasites is the only thing that comes to mind.
 
Closing his eyes during the day is a sign of serious health concerns. And these concerns are usually nutrition based imo. Im not familiar with the nutrition of your supplement or your gutload, can you give us more info on this? If he is missing some nutrition in the diet it could result in this behavior.

CAM00026.jpg today seem the worst day he look like he have no strenght no coordination then when i came back i saw him on the ground thinking he was dead but hes still alive but at that point seeing how fast it goes i dont think he will survive i dunno what to do at this point and it kill me to see him like this

did you over feeded him mabye? with some fat insects?
mabye like waxmoths or something???
 
so he is eating good... thaths a good thing checked his urate?
yellowish? mabye? did he poop??? no small ants out of
and mabye the uv bulb can be to bright so he closes his eyes???
 
i would try to get some lego cubes or wood block
from 5 cms thick and lay the uvb bar on that? and try it?
for a day to see how it works..
even i think its kinda bright on the pictures
 
He was eating till the debute of the week and last poop i saw was on the beggining of the week and it was really dry but right now hes so weak he cant even stand on is feet i tryed already to get him more hydrated by putting the misting session longer but now i just simply dunno what to do anymore
