Sleeping Jackson

Hi, is it normal for a Jackson chameleon to be bright colors when sleeping giving away its camouflage? Are these signs that the chameleon is having intense dreams?

I don't know what they are dreaming about, probably flying insects or cuties of the opposite sex, but mine are all light colors at night.
Doesn't seem like good camp to me either but it is what they do.

Yes they are brighter green at night, I have a jackson, due to temp drop and it is fine/good

Unfortunately, no studies have been made about a correlation between chameleons dreams and colors at night .
Probably because they can't tell the scientists what they were dreaming about.

Remember folks, when a cham is chilled down so is its brain. Sleep goes along with that lower metabolic rate. I'd be surprised if they dream much if at all.

I don't know if the reptile brain patterns have been studied to the point of knowing if they have anything like a rem state.

Imagined if their eyes moves when they slept, they would look insane. lol
I can't get a good picture of it because Dandelion likes to sleep in the leaves as if he was a leaf except for the yellow stripe giving him away, but I'll keep trying.
Chameleons are so fun to observe.
