Sleeping

My chameleon used to sleep at the highest point in his inclosure and now he is slowly sleeping at lower points is this a normal thing or not

yes it is normal. as long as they are not sleeping on the floor of your enclosure. Mine sleep high and low, in different areas when they feel like it.

It look like he was going to sleep on the bottom but I put him back on the highest point on the cage and he is staying there to sleep
Should I keep doing that every time he wants to sleep or looks like he wants to sleep on the bottom

well honestly, one of my chameleons found a really weird sleeping spot between a pot a plant is in and the corner of the cage with its tail and bottom on the floor of the cage. But you have to judge your chameleons behavior to really determine if there is something going on. My chameleon was acting fine, doing everything normal. just happened to find a weird sleeping spot. The only time I intervine with moving them to a more comfortable spot is my chameleons sometimes will fall asleep hanging upside down. That just kinda freaks me out and I will move them. They don't like it one bit, but IMO its better then them falling from the top and hurting themselves.

If you've noticed a change in behavior I might take your cham to see a vet. Not eating or drinking, weird color stool. lethargic and not moving much. eyes closed during the day. all signs that something could be wrong, accompanied with trying to sleep on the ground.

Let him sleep where he wants to. Sometimes they will sleep hanging onto the sides of the screen cage. It looks uncomfortable to us, but if that is the way they chose to sleep then leave them be.

Right now he eats mostly the plants I have in his inclosure he will eat the superworms once and a while. I dont really see him drink water but he probably drinks when I am not Round he has his normal colors.
