Small Problem

Ok so I have this Dubia colony going now for a while, they are reproducing and doing fine, the problem is I live in Ohio, its starting to get colder here now. I don't have a garage or a outbuilding with power.... I would just bring the tub inside but I also have a wife who is not crazy about them at all.... I cannot blame her... I was looking into storage container type deals like this one...

Would this successfully house these little guys without chance of escape? In a closet or something? Thanks in advance, I don't want these guys to die on me after 3 months or so...need to get them back up to the proper heat to start mating again!! thanks all.....

Yeah i realize that but don't know what he was using for a receptacle either.. thus the post. trying to figure out something soon before it frosts and kills the colony off...

I use plastic bins with tight fitting lids and then cut a window in the top and duct tape a screen to the window works great.

I am pretty sure that Brad R was using an almost identical storage container.

For my lobster roaches (who definitely CAN climb glass and plastic) I use a 10 gallon aquarium with a tight fitting slide in screen lid. I put a 3 inch band of vasoline around the top. The roaches (even climbing species) can not climb through the vaseline.. they get to the edge and turn right back around. I have a colony of 2000+ lobsters and live in a 2 bedroom apartment and I have never seen one escapee (knock on wood!)

I may try this vaseline trick on the plastic storage thing i was looking at, perhaps i can modify it with a lid of some sort.....thanks all..
