So... Blue Spots? Dark?

well i always thought it was kinda normal (or maybe my cham, Skrink, still getting used to the place) but i have a veiled about 5 or 6 months now and he's never really bright until i take him out of the cage. he eats and drinks and gets light and everything. He also lets me closer to him now than he used to. Is that normal? (i'm gonna post up pics of the cage in a bit).

And i just read in another post something about having blue spots might mean "she" wants to breed. first off i thought it was a guy, and second.. is that really what little blue spots mean?

Males get the blues to. If that's the cham in question, in your Avatar, he's a male for sure.

alright cool cuz i was definately thinking so. but the other part of my question was about the brown. he brightens up when starts walking but it's just whenever he's still he's always brown unless i'm holding him

Check his back legs, there should be a 'spur' if he's a he!

Their colours are pretty drab when there's nothing to get really that excited about. Nothing to show off too/warn etc. If he's basking and brown, then he's just trying to get his body temp up to the right level. It'd be rare for a cham to be completely relaxed while a person is holding them, so you'll always expect their colours to be more elaborate than usual!

Males tend to do a bit more hiding than females, and try to blend (brown) in or do the hide behind the stick thing. They will go dark to take in more heat when basking, or turn dark when stressed. Something might be bugging him, and causing him to turn dark. A picture would be helpful.

well for height stuff his cage is 3 feet off the ground and then the cage itself is 4 feet high so he's 7 feet up. i can't get much higher than that

Sorry, drab was probably the wrong word to use. His colours aren't as overly expressed? Sound better?
