And it’s almost as big as his cage! Lol! With the fine white netting do you think much uvb will get through when I take hm outside?

There is something similar in my garage imo I would put your plant in it and check it outside ( without your cham in it ) those things can move a lot . Could you maybe make a solid structure that it could fit around 🤔

I’ll sit and hold onto the thing if I have to but it’s not super windy here and I wouldn’t take him out in it on a windy day anyway. It will be fine, I’m just concerned about the UV getting through the fine mesh of it.

Ok . Just lots of people take there chams out on trees without that so not sure why the need 🤔 if your going to be there

Ive been using one for about 3 months now with no issues in Los Angeles. Potted plants keep it from moving. Check amazon, there are some with what looks like pvc frames if you're looking for structural support

I suppose the only way would be a solar meter but shouldn't be a problem and also knowing what that particular days uv was . I was just concerned that it would flaf around and stress your cham. But hope it works good

I would keep the bigger one. Wonder if you could get some hornworm breeding going in one of those.

No, I dont have room to breed insects and I think I’d get evicted ! Lol! I live in a senior apartment complex. If the little old ladies only knew that I had dubia roaches in here they’d pee their pants!
I work at a veterans home and the little old ladies there love looking at pictures of my roaches 😆. Maybe they wouldn’t want to live with them lol!

I’ll probably look into breeding hornworms myself. Such a pain in the a** to keep at times.

A brick or rock in the bottom will hold it down. The mesh isn't going to block enough UVB from the SUN to worry about. When Eustis has had enough, he'll probably head/look for shade.

They are not great for UVB. It will only pass through where the sun is square to the cage. But this is true for any screen. I use the butterfly cages and they are really pretty good. The trick is to get some dowels to help keep the top stretched tight. This will allow the most UVB to get trough. once they have stuff in them they won't blow away, but they will flatten out if it gets real strong.

What about an internal 1/2" PVC frame?
