I am soo very proud of my new baby. He is 7-weeks old and has ate, drank, and had his poops all in front of me. He basks right in the front of his cage and shows very little fear of me. Not to bad for being in his new home since the 19th.I have discovered he perfers warm water for misting as opossed to room temp, and his food intake has doubled to what the breeder fed and how he fed.The breeder fed 1-time for the day and i feed twice for the day-after all he is only a baby.Yesterday morning when i woke him up he was already awake and sitting on his feeding station waiting for breakfast. So very cute and soo very smart for the size of him.I feed him at 10-am and 3-pm and i mist 3-4-times a day.But to see him drink was amazing --as i never had a chameleon before first one lol.He doe's not recognize worms as food yet but is is checking out the ones i put in for him, and he seems to be very interested. I have ordered some phoenix worms for him that will arrive next week-So i am sure the movement of the worms will get him going on his worms. So i just wanted to share this info with you all and you can see why i am proud of him. You didnt say what kind of cham you have, but sounds like a jacksons?

I have a fairly new addition as well, Kokie has only been with me a short time. He also loves warm showers from my spray bottle, which I keep on a 'under tank heater' at all times to keep it nice and warm.
I turn it on coarse spray, and spray in short blasts over his head, so the warm water comes down on him like rain drops.
He loves it, and gets into his favorite possition when he sees me coming with it, all ready for him shower, and looking at me like, 'oh boy, a warm shower'! LOL

He is also not as shy and getting used to seeing me every day.
So he knows I am no threat to him, and I am somehow responsible for those wonderful warm showers!!

So, he has something to associate me with that is good and positive.

I use the 'free range' release and hunt down method for feeding.
A few cricks do escape, but I think it's more natural, and better for your cham then only cup or hand feeding.
I do hand and cup feed sometimes, and always if they are roaches.

I dont want the roaches to have a chance to escape

He is a Veiled baby. And he just loves his mistings as i do the same. I have a large mister and i keep it heated at all times. When i mist his house i also give him a little shower from above him-So he too assumes the position for his shower. And he also assumes the postion for his bed time., he goes to his favourite spot to tuck in.I am really enjoying him and learning soo much from this forum. Today i am going to purchase his large house for him-24-24-48.And i will start to set up so when it's time for him to change tanks it won't be a shock to him and it will be all ready for him.I have named him 2-Step.Buttons
