sock mind games !

ok, here is the story of how I have been outsmarted by a SOCK ! I HAD this nice, warm, fuzzy pair of socks - but then one just vanished - you know,, how when you are folding laundry, and there is ONE sock left over- but you are certain you put TWO in the washer type of thing - so I checked all the favorite hiding spots of a sock ( after having kids, I know all the hiding spots of baby socks, and adult socks are not near as smart as baby socks! ) - the legs of the jeans, sweat pants, NOPE- so onto the arms of the shirts - NO - and the best trick of all- in another sock - not there either so as we all have that " what happened to the other sock " basket- I put the sock there- thinking the other sock would show up - it did not - now, where do these socks go ? I have no idea - I give them plenty of time to show up - then toss the basket - so last week.. time was up- out goes the basket with my loan favorite fuzzy mate-less sock now, mind you , laundry is done once a week- if the sock were hiding - I would sure think it would have shown up - but no, but of course , toss the basket- and YEP - look what shows up ! this is the offending sock - it is ugly, ( well, kinda looks like a cham pattern in a way I guess- lol ) but it was so warm - so I guess if you have a favorite pair of socks - you better keep an eye on them I only wrote this because it is laundry day, the sock mad me mad - lol and most times, if you are reading the Lizard lounge- you have time to kill, and you are bound to find goofy life stories here but seriously- where do these socks go ?? !!

The black hole that is the dryer.

I have the same lone sock thing, cept I use a laundry bag.

two socks go in the washer, 1 sock comes out of the dryer.

however, my black hole has moved on to bigger and better things.

It sucked in my fiancé's motorcycle keys. they went missing for 4 weeks.

We finally found them.. in the dryer.. after countless loads, and they weren't in any pockets because I check all the pockets before stuff goes in the washer.

(the fiancé is notorious for leaving his pocket knife in his pocket).

You know, I just found a sock that looked just like the one in the picture! I didn't think it belonged to me or my wife, so I just put it back in the dryer to see what would happen. Funny thing is, its gone now. Hmmm. I just don't get it.
