Soil!?!

Okay I apologize for contributing to the overload of soil questions on this site, but seriously I cannot seem to find the right kind. I was told to get plain organic top soil, which seemed simple enough. I have bought a few different kinds now and they all have stones, sticks, etc. Are there any brands out there without any of that stuff in them? Or do I need to sift through all my bags of dirt? Normally I wouldn't care because the soil would be covered, but I am going to try a bioactive and I don't want to risk having anything in the soil that could be eaten. The most recent bag I bought was Scott's(the red bag), the store workers told me it was empty of stones and sticks, but turned out to not be the case. So... can anyone recommend a brand of soil?

I went with repti soil from zoo med, mixed in some more carbon and some sand to help with drainage. Im happy with that to be honest.

Just out of curiosity what's the soil for? What is a bio active if you could explain that to me good iv only seen a little bit of it on here

Bioactive is just soil that has natural bacteria and critters in it that break down waste and keep a balanced ecosystem.
