Spike in his new plant

We decided to get a plant for spike that he can hang out in for short periods while we clean his home and to get some more enrichment!! We got a ficus, and I think he is loving it!! He is enjoying hiding in it and watching over us. Anyone have any out- of cage setups for their guys to hang in? Any ideas to make it better? I was thinking to attached some sticks on the bottom so he has maybe another route down / up. Thanks for looking!

Great climbing plant I would put it up against a window so he can look out. They love that. Do not have any means for him to get to the floor or you could lose him or he could get really hurt. He will learn before long how to go straight down by going backwards. I rigged up my out- of -cage setup against a window with a huge pathos and a Money tree that I grew from seed. he will go up and climb to the other window tops and and hang out on the curtain tops. the curtains don't hit the floor so he has never made it there but still I have chicken wire going around the bottom of all wall heaters in the house so he can't climb up into it and get burned by the heat from the pilot light like my wonderful Iggy did who got stuck and burned very severely. You live and learn which is why I am passing that little tale onto you! Here's a pic! Next to it is my hawkmoth cage that I will be putting up now that the season is over. this year was my best yet I got about 400 horn worms from June to Oct. My Hunter is sure going to miss them. Now I have to order them from online breeders who have the elaborate set ups and can hatch them in the off months. You can't see them in the picture but I put long wooden dowls across the window at different intervals so I can drape the long Vines over and he can sit on. Also plants do best by windows. This one is the best in the apartment that all my plants love. It only gets one hour of full sun a day due to the six story building behind me. its also in the living room where I can sit and watch tv while I keep an eye on him. Spike will love his new hang out. I see you have other plants next to it. If spike can reach them cool. Just make sure he has no way of getting to the floor and you are all good. I see a spider Plant and pathos. Both good for chams. Not sure its a ficus and ficus trees are toxic if ingested or the sap gets on the skin. The leaves are too big. Maybe a fiddle leaf fig tree?Ok used my SEEK AP on your pic. It says its a fig but couldn't give me the type of fig so I might be right. Download the seek AP and try it on the plant as a pic isn't the same. Now I have a rubber tree in one of my cages and its sap can be toxic if it gets on the skin so I don't pull off dying leaves to avoid sap milk. I let them fall off on their own to avoid the sap leakage. This chamily doesn't nibble on leaves though and its too early with spike to know if he will. Well download that seek ap so you can see what you have there and make an informed decision based on the research you do. Good luck to you and Spike!
