Stand for new habitat

I am going to get a good sized screen enclosure for my chameleon but I was wondering what kind of stands you guys have your screens on or if you leave them on the floor. I would prefer to have a stand that will aid in draining the dripper water but all I can find are bird cages with stands.

Hello and Welcome to the Forums!! I like to build the stands that my screen enclosures sit on. Here is a pic of one I did not too long ago. Nothing fancy, just wanted to hide all the drainage and pots from view. I also wanted something on caster wheels so I could move the entire enclosure out onto the back deck on optimal days. Some prefer to use wire racks that are purchased from Costco, Home Depot or Lowes. They work well because you can simply place a catch basin under the bottom rack. I'm sure there are loads of ideas for drainage issues throughout the plethora of threads in this forum. Give it a good look and I'm sure you will find an idea that suits your needs.

Thank you. I was looking for stands bit everything seemed too big or came with bird cages. As a toddler teacher and a college student I don't have enough time to build a whole stand by myself but I will definitely look into what kinds of stands work best for draining because the temporary habitat is no good for draining and was only a temporary vessel til I had the money to get a bigger screen cage. Terrarium was like $10 and the cage I really want is closer to 100 not including plants, vines, laying bin materials, and a few other things I was looking at.

You can buy a utility sink at Home Depot or Lowes, many have done that; instant drainage system, and it gets your chameleon up higher which is beneficial.

CHEERS!

That would nice but I definitely don't have room for one. I need something that will fit in the room with being too big. I'd put the cage where the one I already have us except for the fact that I wouldn't be aise to reach it well.

Yes, that is the wire rack I was referring to. You can drop the middle rack down to accommodate the enclosure and use the bottom for a drainage bin.

That is what I was hoping was perfect for the screen enclosure. Since I can put a bowl\bucket to help with draining water.

I use plastic drawers, because I can store my crickets and my cricket feed inside of the drawers.
