today my dad called Stanley Steams (the carpet cleaner company) to come and clean some of the rooms in our house U clouding mine where my cham stays in. I was just wondering if he would be safe for him to breathe with all the chamicals in my room floating around in my room. My dad schedualed them to come after school for me so in case It is unsafe, I can put him him his small cage he lived in when he was a baby for the 30 mins they were doing it. My dad told me they spray down some cleaners then steam it. Will he be ok?

I am not sure...so to be on the safe side remove your chammy until odors are gone. Better than winding up with a respiratory infection.

If your day/night temperatures permit, I would keep him outside. With any luck you've got a breeze blowing at your windows on your side of the house. Open your windows/door and something on the opposite side of the house. This will put fresh air in your room and push the VOCs (bad chemicals) out of your room and drawn out of the house through the opposite portal you opened.

I use to have some carpet and when I had a steam cleaner come clean the carpets I didn't allow them to use any chemicals only the hot water. To be on the safe side I'd take your chameleon out until the carpet is dry and the smell is gone.
Same here I don't try to put any chemicals near them as much as possible. I use my steam cleaner twice a week on them

Ok sounds good!! I can put him in the small cage for the meantime with my windows open (it's been in the 70-60 lately and he's been enjoying the cool weather) to get the smell out. Thanks everyone!!

Also, just because we can't smell it doesn't mean it may not be at critical concentrations potent enough to affect our chams.
