Strange Coloring

Hello all. I'm a little worried about my male veiled, and am hoping I'm just overreacting to something I haven't seen yet. It wouldn't be a first, but I figure it would be better to be safe than sorry. He is displaying a dark, muted, coloring, which I've read wasn't usually good. I can say for certain that he hasn't been in these colors for long, as I saw him in his normal light basking colors about two hours ago. It also might be worth noting that he was sitting in the far right corner of his enclosure on the wall, which I've never seen him do either - until I starting trying to get a picture and he ran. Also, he was a shade or two darker when I first saw him, before he ran to part of the Pothos. I'm posting pictures below, as well as my care sheet. Thank you in advance. ^^

Chameleon Info:
  • Your Chameleon - Veiled Chameleon, Male. Roughly six months, which is what I'm guessing.
  • Handling - I’ve only handled really him when I put him into his cage
  • Feeding - I’m feeding him about about 8-12 large crickets a day. I gut load them with a store bought organic gut-load called the BioDudes Bug Grub, as well as a various of greens. I also see him eat on the live plant leaves in his cage, mostly on the Pothos.
  • Supplements - I dust them in RepCal calcium daily, and rotate between calcium with D3 and multivitamin on Fridays.
  • Watering - I have a dripper that runs all day, and I heavily mist 3 times a day. I see him drink regularly directly from the dripper.
  • Fecal Description - Dark brown, and most often firm or on occasion a little watery. Looks normal according to what I’ve seen. His urates have always been a solid white.
  • History - None to report. I've had him since March 20th.

Cage Info:
  • Cage Type - A screened 24x24x48, with three sides covered for humidity purposes.
  • Lighting - Reptisun 5.0 UV, 75 watt for basking. His lights are set for 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
  • Temperature - Basking stays around 80-86. Top is 77-80, middle is in the 72-76ish, bottom stays in the lower 70s.
  • Humidity - Stays around 64-72 percent with the lowest I’ve seen being 54 percent. I mist regularly and have live plants to regulate humidity, and keep 3 sides covered. I also live in a climate that is pretty humid.
  • Plants - I have live plants. Pothos, Schefflera, and Star Jasmine. As well as one faking plant on the door to make him feel more secure.
  • Placement - Corner in my room. A little near a vent, but I have something to redirect airflow. I keep my fan off. It’s on a wide end table, and the top is about about 6 feet from the floor.
  • Location - Houston, Texas

They are normally darker when they bask...the darker color helps them absorb heat. He looks fine...you can relax now.:D

I know, the first time he did it he was just in the corner away from anything, which he has never done, and was a super a dark color. He hasn't done it since then, and hasn't displayed any other concerns so I know I was just stressing over a behavior I hadn't seen. Thank you for the reply. :)
