SO I tried Strawberries today, cut them up tiny and left them in his cage and he didnt touch them... So I picked a piece up and when he went to "bite me" lol I stuck it in his mouth and he chewed it and swallowed it, so I did it again :) hehehe

I didn't wanna piss him off too much so i stopped after two. But ya thats one way to feed I guess lol

He refuses to touch them on his own.

hahaha. You should put some in tomorrow and see if he will eat it and try doing that with other things. He might just need a few taste tests and find something he likes. Nice pics of him too.

thats how my female veiled was with apples. She gaped at me and i put a piece of apple slice in her mouth and she bit off a piece now she cant have enough of it. I cut slices really thin to where its like a chip, practically transparent and she loves them. Shes always been pretty good about eating greens and stuff though so that helped.

they love strawberries, grapes too. I foudn their absolute favorite to be dandilion flowers and hibiscus blossoms, red grapes and strawberries - bright colored things.

So I just tried more strawberries... LOL He was rabidly gaping at me lol Buutttt as he pretended to bite me he took the strawberry pieces from my hand and gobbled them up! Yesterday it was me dropping them into his mouth, today eh took them! Woohoo :)

My Veileds all eat strawberries and grapes. I just stick little pieces on branches and the try to get them with their tongue or just pull them off with their mouths. Some days they are fussier than others. Every once in a while I will give them fruit instead of insects so that if they're hungry enough they'll eat the fruit.

I haven't hat much luck with apples or greens yet. I tried romaine lettuce once with no luck. I haven't found any collard greens to try yet however.

I just give mine these fruits once or twice a week so that way it's a treat and they seem more interested in it.

Dyesub Dave. :D
