Struggling with Humidity

Hey all,

we have a full screen terrarium but we cannot for the life of us get his humidity past like 30%. We live in montreal, Canada and it is cold as hell right now so the heating in the house makes it very dry. We're considering buying a fogger or something for him cuz it's definitely not humid enough in there for our little panther.

thanks,
ashley and sean :)

Fwiw i stopped chasing humidity for my panthers, but if you are still concerned then i would suggest wrapping 3 sides of the cage with a shower curtain and mist more often, and if you have natural plants then that will help a lot too, a fogger for a mesh cage wont help you so save your money, good luck

Sana

don´t use a screen cage then? use a terrarium or it equvalent, just ha the top in screen and a part of the front, that will do just fine

Just curious, would soaking a couple of natural sponges work? We use one in my daughter's pink-toe tarantula tank and it keeps it perfect. Maybe a couple of those for the screened enclosure? Was thinking of trying it in our little guy's place next week when we transition to a new enclosure.

nope, non standing water fopr chameleons thats the easiest way to give them bacteria infections

I am in Saskatchewan and am having the same issue. it is more costly but you can have super thin sheets of clear acrylic cut at any glass shop and fit it to the sides of the screen cage. I plan to do 2 sides to see how that helps :) I have also increased the misting on my mist king unit to 5 times a day.
