So my panther boy which I've had now for almost 6 weeks is a picky eater. He's seven months old now. It has been a struggle for weeks and weeks to get him to eat a variety of things. When I purchased him I decided to spoil him with a nice assortment of silkworms, a big batch of superworms and a box of crickets. The silkworms would literally crawl up to him and onto him and he wouldn't bat an eye. They all died off before he even tried to eat them. I put the supers in a cup and sometimes on the screen, and yet again no dice. He ate all of the crickets no problem. I tried mixing crickets and worms in the cup and no luck. So I've eventually begun hand feeding him the crickets which he readily will take and so a couple days ago i tricked him and held out a super instead and he took it. He refused any more worms after that, but wanted more crickets. I was so close! However today, I ran out of crickets so I tried once again with the worms and somehow he decided that he was so hungry he would eat 5 of them off the screen, but not my hand. Talk about weird habits this one. He also goes gaga over hornworms. Anyone else had a weirdo like this guy? Do you think he was just uncomfortable with the changes?

My boy loves crickets. And I mean loves em. He isn't excited more by anything else except maybe something that can fly. He also likes silkworms. I can't seem to get him into hornworms, he will only eat one or none when I try. I think he also might be scared of them because they're bright.

I find chameleons to be quirky when it comes to food. One of my werneri will run over you to get a dubia. I think the other one would starve before he would eat one. Sometimes they want something and other times they don't.
