Suggestions for maintaining sleep cycle?

I just recently moved into an apartment with my panther chameleon, and the small space means I can’t really separate him from the activity going on.

He’s currently set up next to a window in my room, and since I usually am awake several hours past his bedtime I’m trying to come up with ideas so that I won’t be bothering him too much.

Has anyone else dealt with this problem? I’m thinking maybe buying a black sheet or something similar to place over the front of his cage at night, but I’m not sure if that will really make a difference.

Black sheet or a towel will work fine. My cham is near my kitchen so when I cook after work his lights are off. I just toss a towel over his cage and he is none the wiser to it.

I use a black towel to block the TV as well. Just need to be careful not to leave it hanging there accidentally when basking lamps come on. Wouldn't want a fire risk. Some sort of clips might be safer.

Yes, best solution just throw a sheet over his enclosure. But check on him first and see if his eyes are closed and hes sleeping. Mine can deal with some TV light or hallway light.
