Sunken eyes

Hey all, lookie here I'm back from the dead :D This community probably doesn't remember me but that's fine I've been away for much too long.

Anyways the point is that recently I've acquired a second veiled chameleon from a local pet store - he's a juvenile, around 5-6 inches long from tip of nose to base of tail.

He has eyes that appear sunken - they don't really pop out like my other chameleon Archimedes. He eats well and poops well but his urine is yellow. I'm thinking this is dehydration, what is the quickest way to get this fellow into prime condition?

Thanks!

Sounds like dehydration off the top, but as you don't know if he's had quality care before you bought him there could be other things going on that have contributed to his current problem. Sometimes dehydration is a sign of other issues, not a diagnosis in itself. First thing to do is check the cage humidity level and range that it fluctuates between. Try to monitor how often and how much he's drinking...it needs to be increased somehow. Even if a cham is drinking well they can still lose ground if the cage situation is too dry.
