I do think you are doing a good job on your 18 month old chameleon and you only had him for 2 month under ur care,so the slightly sunken eyes is from the previous owner care,so my best suggestion to u is if you are still worry about those sunken eyes(already happen prior u got him),please find a exotic chameleon specialist vet,and do a whole exam on him,then you will know what exactly is the problem hopfully the vet can help u to correct whatever needs done,best luck to youChameleon Info:
- Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care? Panther Cham, 18months, I've had him for two months.
- Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon? when I open the door and he climbs onto my hands
- Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders? crickets, locusts, waxworms, morioworms, roaches, and calciworms. how ever much he wants to eat. I feed him daily around 4pm and leafy greens, carrot peelings and kale
- Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule? komodo calcium with d3 twice a week and calci-dust every other day.
- Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking? dripper and hand misting. 4 times a day for a minute. yes I sometimes see him drink.
- Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? mostly white urates and healthy brown (similar to healthy photos posted on the forums) currently awaiting results of a fecal exam.
- History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you. Bought fro a pet shop and i know nothing beyond this point. (his eyes were the same when I first saw him in the petshop.
Cage Info:
- Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions? wood and glass combo.
- Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule? arcadia usb 15w bulb, prorep 100w basking spot lamp. turns on at 7am and off at 7pm using the dimmer.
- Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps? starts off 80F and goes up to 90F at midday, then back down to 80F through the night(basking) lowest temp is 80F. I use the ISTAT PULSE+

- Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind? no live plants.
- Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor? on a desk no fans, and the window is always closed. top of case is around 6ft.
