Superworms -- too tough for Jacksons?

I picked up some superworms earlier in the week to add some more variety to my Jackson's diet. I gave him one and it took him a bit to get it down and the thing fought the whole way. I'm a little nervous about giving him more, but I tried another and he didn't seem to want to have anything to do with it. Is the superworm shell too tough for jacksons? I assume it is and that I need to wait until they shed their shells, but wanted to find out from you guys.

They are fine. My Jacksons love them , probably more than anything else. The shells are fine for them. No sharp legs and stuff to hurt them.

Personally I think they like the fight. usually they will grab them by the head so they don't even get a chance to bite.

My chams chew them and I can hear them crunch. They always chew at least 5 or 6 times before the super disappears.
