I recently bought 50 small super worms, but I don't know how to keep and feed them, can I put them in the fridge like mealworms, I just don't know.

No fridge, if they are not dead yet. Put them in oats substrate container on the counter.

You do not need to slow there growth they grow slow anyway.

feed them whatever you feed your crickets, gutload, fruits veggies ect.

You can feed them carrots but I've found Potatoes to be the best. Just cut potatoes in half and place face down in the oats.

They will eat all of it pretty much except for the skin =)

Make sure you clean up the rotting veggies! !!!!!!! Swap out the potatoes every 4 days =)

Don't they turn into beetles or something?

No they do not, they can turn to beetles and will, only if they are separated. If they are together they will not turn into beetles.

They are better than Meals in that regard (and a lot of other ones lol). You need to make a cubby system if you want to turn them into beetles.

Like this,

I have 12 film canisters all in a tiny little wooden box so I can easily carry them all at once if I need to. Film canisters stand upright, lids off so I can see when they pupate, and I just put them up somewhere dark and let them do their thing for a couple weeks.

This is not my picture, but it is a basic concept of what I do and where I got my method from: http://www.progeckos.com/care_images/superworm_canister.jpg

I just use 12 film canisters because that's all I need (it's more of a snack for my chameleon to add variety).

Or, you could also one of these if you wanted to for ease of turning them into beetles if you wished: https://usercontent1.hubstatic.com/4127788_f520.jpg

Nice lil fishing tackle box / lure organizer. Looks to be what @cyberlocc is using. (y)

Ya the pic I linked was not mine, but is what I use :).

Are you saying you feed the beetles too? Or that you dont breed many as you dont use many Supers? I have been curious about feeding the beetles and some harley quinns. For some roughage on occasion :).

I don't breed the Superworms as I can go buy a package of 50 of them at a local bait shop for $2. Being that cheap, it's not worth my time to breed them and devote time to that. Yes I feed off the beetles. I don't do it that often though because I can't imagine that they would be a favorite food. Have you ever smelled the slight stink odor they give off? Now imagine that odor in your mouth lol. They also have pretty hard shells unless u grab them right when they eclose from the pupae and are still white and soft. I wait till they are black though to add a bit of crunch to the diet. I gutload them with leafy greens and vegetables for water and I give them Cricket Crack as a dry grain food too. They eat it up. Let them chow for about a week before feeding them to the chameleon. I feed off one, maybe two beetles a week when I have them. When I run out, I set up 12 more to pupate. Here is Kyú enjoying a beetle actually.... Took the pic like a week or two ago.

Potatoes are not a good gutload at all. They provide very little nutrition to the chameleon, which is the whole point of gut loading. Give them greens, carrots, bell peppers, apples, etc…

@cyberlocc this is exactly what I use. However I wouldn't put any substrate / food in with them once you separate. They will pupate faster.

Yep I dont either. That is not my pic, just a random one off the net. I actually didn't notice the substrate till you said that lol.
