Supplement Brands

Hi,


I have an eight month old Panther. I supplement with calcium (exoterra), calcium d3 (fluckers) and a multivitiman (exoterra).

Brand wise are these ok? Are there any excellent brands that I should switch to or any that I should avoid?

Those are all fine as long as you are supplementing at the right frequencies. A lot of people think that any brand of calcium with d3 should be used 2 times a month, but many brands can be used much more often because they have low D3 content. Repashy calcium plus is a popular all in one supplement, though I prefer the loD version vs. the normal one because I don't feel comfortable giving my chameleons so much D3. I mix it at a 50/50 ratio with plain calcium and use it at every feeding. Don't feel that you must switch though, unless you want to.

ya, those are fine. though I personally prefer Mineral-O by sticky tongue farms for my vitamin free calcium/mineral supplement.

I don't really like flukers cause it made my friends cham get fat cells on his chest. Kinda funny but it is the thing that caused it, his doctor said

I've been using Rep-Cal with and w/o D3 and Herptivite.

Rep-Cal w/o D3 nearly every feeding
Rep-Cal w/D3 and Herptivite semi-monthly

I'm very partial to Repashy brand everything, from supplements to gut load. I find their calciums extremely fine, very "sticky" on bugs, and the quality of their products is always very high.
