supplement expiration

i noticed this morning that the bottles of supplements expire??? Do they actually go bad after the date?

Yes they do. I know this because I used to breed poison dart frogs. I didn't realise that my supplements had expired. All of my tadpoles died because they developed spindle leg disease. After I bought new supplments and gave them to the adults I had normal tadpoles.

i had a big bottle of calcium W d3 and it expired. after my panther devoloped mbd is when i realized it and the vet had told me that it was most likey the cause. luckily i caught it sort of soon, hes been doing well now tho

I'm glad i caught this when i did.. It expired in August. Luckily i've only been using it for my Multi which is very light on the supplementing as it is. guess i'm going to buy more tomorrow. Which sucks since this jar is 3/4s full. Live and learn right?

If you dont have several chameleons, its not a bad idea to split a container with someone nearby, so that you dont feel like your wasting it (not that its all that expensive, but still)

Well i have an ambanja but i use repashy with him.

I'll be getting another multi in a few weeks and posssibly a melleri in the summer, so i'll be using more of the usual calcium and d3 combo like i use to before the repashy.
