Surgery Day Today

Tilly is having the eggs removed and possible spay today (depending that it all goes to plan). He was going to remove the eggs but I've asked that whilst she's under anesthetic and having the op can she have her ovaries removed as I do not want this happening again. Not heard anything yet but no new is good news right? I'm worried that she wont come through the op as she's not young but hopefully she will show me what a fighter she is :)

Thanks everyone for thinking of us.

I just rang for an update and he's operating right now. Don't think she will be home tonight but I don't care how long they keep her or how much it costs I just want my girl well :-(

I know the feeling. I would do ANYTHING for my guys. I'm praying she will get through the surgery and have a complete recovery so you can spend some more quality time with her.

We are going to think postive. She is getting the best care possible, all will be fine. I will be waiting to hear she is coming along fine.

Hey guys,

The vet rang about an hour ago and thank god she made it. She's awake and moving around. Slowly and unsure but the first step is making it through surgery. He did manage to spay her as well as remove a lot of eggs but she she was very constipated so that or the eggs could of been the problem it's hard to tell when they both have to pass through the same opening! She's staying in tonight but he went the procedure went well with minimal complications but her ovaries showed some sign of disease. He has managed to remove them but says with the very small animals it's possible tiny bits can still remain and possibly grow back but in this instance it's probably unlikely.

So so pleased!!!!

Well glad she made it through the surgery,:D And now its time for recovery good luck and keep us updated

I know,

Such a little fighter. Joe kept saying Soph stop worrying she's stronger than you give her credit for and she really was. But still I always worry about my animals. I'm still worried now thought and I will be until she's fully recovered but this is a fantastic start to the process.

Thanks everyone for being so kind. When she comes home I'll get some new pictures (from far away using zoom, haha she doesn't like the camera!)

Good Job!!

That is wonderful news, I just knew Tilly would be a toughie and pull through just fine. Tell her I said congrats and give her a nice treat for me.

Oh Laurie,

She's got a tub of wax worms for a treat. Obviously she's not going to eat the whole tub! Well she would if she could. I have a question actually if anybody can help me. Before Tilly was spayed we limited her food to try and aid in her producing fewer / smaller clutches. She really does enjoy her food so I always felt so cruel. Would it be ok to now not limit her food so much?
