Swampy Smell in cage & Cleaning poop

Hi,
I don't mist as much as I should, I do it once a day for 3 to 4 minutes. I do however spray the Leaves and keep it moist for him.

I also have Cantina Chameleon water fountain along with another reptile fountain in the case. All the water went to the bottom of the cage and now there is a swampy smell. I've done as much as I can and I put a fan neat the cage and now it doesn't smell but there's a little water at the bottom.

I've also seen my cham bathe in water, very strange- I thought he'd hate the water so I gave him another fountain but it created a water puddle at the bottom- 1/4 inch of water. :D

Will this affect the Chameleon? I have a cage with metal container at the bottom which can hold water. Should I just get a all screen cage instead?

I've been cleaning out poop every week with paper towel- some of his poop is white, some are darker and some of them look like little pellets. Whats the best way to clean? do they get mad if they see their poop laying around? Please advise.

Yes, and if you're not careful they will turn into the guy from Network.

But seriously, the water and faeces are perfect breeding grounds for bacteria, mold and fungus creating a unhealthy environment. It should dry out between mistings and the poop should not be allowed to sit for very long. If it's not drying out then you need better drainage and/or air circulation. Got to find the balance.

Do you measure the humidity level in the cage? How high and how low does it get? If the cage stays at a high humidity level all the time its more likely to smell funky and grow mold. Its OK that the cage has an temporary smell right after it gets sprayed, it just shouldn't smell when its not wet. A little fresh water from a recent misting can pool on the bottom as long as the tray is kept clean and it can dry out after a few hours. What you don't want is water with poop sitting in it for days until it gets stagnant. Cham poop should have a white portion and a dark portion. The white is the urate (like a bird's) and the dark is the fecal portion. No, a cham doesn't tend to pay attention to its poop...its not moving, it isn't food, its just an uninteresting thing. Once they drop it it isn't part of their world.

Some chams like to poop in the same spot everyday. A large collection will lead to an issue, more than a little here and there. I wipe out my cage bottoms everyday.
